The girly girl in me used to H A T E tees. I had this notion that plain t-shirts should only be paired with boxers and worn to sleep. That is until I met Ben, who’s closet is made up of 40% shirts, 30% shorts, 20% denim and 10% etc. He used to beg me to try to dress a little different whenever I’m with him, a change from what I’m accustomed to as a blogger. The day finally came when I got fond of dressing in a more relaxed way when I started to visit Cebu once a month. There was just something about the city that made me want to don just my favorite pair of jeans, a top and some slip ons! I’m sure anyone who’s experienced staying there for more than a weekend can resonate with me :) Now, I have a small collection that comes in different colors and designs printed on them! I guess you can say that I’m a little addicted :P One of the stores I love to buy from is GUESS because of two reasons:
1. It reminds me of the 90s. I’m sure your mom has bought you o piece atleast once in your childhood!
2. The quality. As I got older and started to spend for almost everything for myself with my hard earned money, I knew just how important is it to buy quality items that I could wear again and again. Gone are the days where I would prefer quantity over quality just to be in trend. I hate purchasing clothes that would lose it’s original fit or color after just a wash or two.
That’s why I hoarded this certain design in almost every color that they have :) I first wore this with a pair of denim shorts but I came across a photo of Cher from the movie Clueless and knew that I had to recreate it! Don’t you love how much you can do with a piece when you take inspiration from anything around you? :)
